    1335 DNS Open Resolver

    kb9mfd New Member

I have a 1335 as my main router, and my ISP is saying I have a DNS Open Resolver on my WAN address. I have the Proxy DNS checked and have all my machines resolve to the 1335. Do I have to reconfigure everything to used a public DNS and uncheck Proxy DNS or is there a better solution so I can continue to use my 1335 as my DNS resolver? - Jeremy

          Hi kb9mfd:

You may proxy DNS through the 1335.  There should be no issue with that.  Could they be referring to DNS proxy being open on your Internet interface (public hosts could use your firewall as a nameserver from the outside)?  You're welcome to attach your configuration here (remove passwords, public IPs, etc.).
